Last night (October 11), Charlie Puth made an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Whilst he was there to perform his song ‘Attention’, Charlie was also roped in to play a hilarious game of ‘Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts’.
Joined by Josh Gad, Michelle Dockery and Rachel Bloom, Charlie proved to be the star of the show thanks to his very weak stomach. The rules of the game are very simple: players have to either answer an uncomfortable question, or face eating one of the disgusting offerings on the table.
Before the game even began, Charlie was gagging at the smell of the food, stating “People who know me know I have a very, very sensitive stomach. I can’t even be around brussels sprouts let alone this stuff.” This made for a very funny start to the game, and whilst we didn’t want Charlie to throw up on TV, we couldn’t help but laugh at his reaction.
Split into team UK vs team USA, Josh was the first to answer a question. Revealing that he has yet to use the Olaf voice in bed, team USA avoided eating some turkey testicles. Michelle answered a question for team UK, but James wasn’t satisfied with her answer so they delved into some cow tongue.
Next up was team USA, and after Rachel incorrectly answered her question, the team were forced to drink bird saliva. Cue Charlie in full gag mode, and an audience (and James) in hysterics! The attention turned to James for the next question, and after failing to name three of Charlie’s songs, he and Michelle had to drink a salmon seaweed smoothie.
Charlie was the last to answer a question, and after refusing to choose whether Selena Gomez or Meghan Trainor is the best singer, the team were forced to eat a grasshopper. He gave it his best shot, but unsurprisingly he retched it out into the sick bucket.
Check out ‘Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts’ below! If, like Charlie, you have a weak stomach, maybe get your own sick bucket at the ready.
After recovering from the gruesome game, Charlie delivered an electric performance of his hit single ‘Attention’. Using every inch of the studio, quite literally, Charlie began his performance backstage in the dressing room. He also took a picture in the photo booth before making his way to sing in the middle of the audience. After working his way round the room, and making a toast with James, he reached the stage to finish his passionate performance.
